Meet the Staff
We are very fortunate to have a loyal and experienced staff. We believe in continuing education as we increase our service abilities. There have been a lot of changes in the insurance business since 1938, but you will continue to receive the same friendly service.

We will make every effort to be available when you need us. We would encourage you to stop in the office so we can take the time to review your insurance needs and answer your questions. We recognize that you want service and need sound advice at your convenience.

	David A. Jones, C.I.C. President David joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 1973 after working with Peerless Ins. Co. He is a graduate of University of Georgia majoring in finance. He is licensed agent in property, casualty, life and health. David is President of the agency and is available at any time to help you.
	Bev Jones Vice President - Outside Inspector Bev started with Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 1997. She graduated from Homer High School. In addition to inspections and establishing replacement values she is responsible for making sure Dave and Baxter show up for work.
	Eric Mertz Account Executive Eric joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 1990 and is licensed for property, casualty, life, and health insurance. Prior to joining Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. Eric managed the George Caldwell Agency in Cincinnatus, NY. Eric is responsible for sales and service of commercial and personal insurance.
	Jacqueline Boyden Licensed Agent Jacqueline joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 1986. She is a licensed agent for property and casualty and is a sales and customer service representative for personal lines. She also handles the claims process for our clients.
	Delores A. Mandarano Licensed Agent Delores joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 1973. She is licensed agent for property and casualty. “Dee” handles sales and customer service representative for personal lines.
	Anne Fitzgerald Licensed Agent Anne joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 2001 as a customer service representative for our commercial clients. Anne is a 1981 graduate of Cortland State University with a B.A. in English. Anne began her career in the insurance business in 1984. Anne is a licensed property and casualty agent as well as a life insurance agent. She is a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives.
	Brian Toglia Licensed Agent Brian joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 2005 and is licensed for property, casualty, life and health insurance. Brian is a graduate of Pepperdine University where he majored in Business Administration and Political Science. Brian is responsible for sales and service of commercial and personal insurance.
	Laurie Butts Licensed Agent Laurie joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 1980. She is a licensed agent for property and casualty. Laurie works in sales and customer service in personal and commercial lines.
	Jill A. D'Antonio Licensed Agent Jill joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 2005. She works in sales, customer service, and in personal lines.
	Kathy Browngardt Customer Service Representative Kathy joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 2006. She is a personal lines customer service representative. Kathy has previous experience having worked for the Owen Agency since 2000.
	Theresa Williams Licensed Agent Theresa joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 2006. She is a licensed agent for property and casualty insurance. Theresa works in personal lines sales and customer service. She has previous experience having worked for the Owen Agency since 1981.
	Stacie Mydlenski Licensed Agent Stacie joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 2007. She is a 1997 graduate of Homer High School. She has 8 years of insurance experience. Prior to joining Tanner-Ibbotson, Stacie worked in the Robinson Bailey Agency, for 4 ½ years. She is a licensed agent for property and casualty and is responsible for sales and customer service of personal lines.
	Lisa Soler Licensed Agent Lisa joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 2007. She holds an A.S. Degree in Business Administration and an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies. She is a licensed agent for property and casualty as well as a New York State Public Notary. Lisa works in sales and customer service in personal and commercial lines. She has previous experience having worked for the Robinson Bailey Agency since 1998.
	Noreen Bryan Receptionist Noreen joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 2006. She has worked in several positions providing customer service in various capacities. Noreen has been a life long resident of Cortland.

History
Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. was founded by Harry Tanner in 1928 and joined by his son-in-law, “Pete” Ibbotson, in the 1930’s. They incorporated in 1938. Paul Warner joined the Agency in 1953. Pete retired in 1984 and Paul retired in 1993. David A. Jones joined the company in 1973 and continues to uphold the values that have kept customers coming back for over 70 years.

	Harry Tanner Founder Harry Tanner founded Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 1928.
	John S. "Pete" Ibbotson John S. "Pete" Ibbotson later joined his father in law (Harry Tanner) and formed a partnership.
	Paul Warner Paul Warner, Pete Ibbotson's nephew, joined Tanner-Ibbotson, Inc. in 1953.
	David A. Jones David A. Jones joined the company in 1973 and continues to uphold the values that have kept customers coming back for over 70 years.
